We’re six days out and I still haven’t gotten my Dad a gift. I talk about weather-induced headaches, nonstop rain, suspiciously warm December temperatures, and the handymen rebuilding the front deck while I vacuum and do laundry like a productive adult.
I’m also using a counterfeit Shure MV7 (yes, really), tweaking DSP through the Shure Motiv app via my phone because I use Linux, and overanalyzing how bright podcast microphones are supposed to sound.
There’s a full grocery haul breakdown — Costco, Target, Trader Joe’s — including lemonade (my favorite drink), Olipop, multiple cheeses (Boursin, baby Swiss, black truffle cheddar), chocolate mousse cake, and a passionate defense of the Trader Joe’s lemon chicken & arugula salad (which I may like better without the chicken).
We get into new headphones, backup earbuds, Podcasthon prep, charity picks, creative rust, and my very serious desire to abandon beds entirely in favor of a human-sized cat tree as housing.
